Going with the snow…I mean, flow.

Three days, 20 bathroom breaks, 2,390 miles, and two snow storms.  That was our cross country road trip from Pennsylvania to Arizona.  Who would have thought we’d encounter two storms of ice and snow in Texas and Arizona. I thought I was leaving that behind when I decided to move to the desert.  I thought wrong, but thankfully I had my beautiful sister, Marina, with me to get me through it.  It was so wonderful to have her to talk and laugh with for three days of driving. I, for sure, could not imagine having done that without her.

Here are our smiling faces right before pulling out of the driveway to begin our trek across the country.

Gotta take that selfie.

Everyone said driving through the Texas panhandle would be boring.  Not for us, haha. We found a snow storm. Who knew!

My parents wanted to book a night for us at a Hampton Inn.  Neither of us had ever stayed at one.  Well, boy, were we missing out.  We had the most comfortable and clean (I’m a freak about sleeping in hotels) beds, and a fabulous, hot breakfast.  The second one we stayed in served biscuits and gravy! OMG, I love me some biscuits and gravy. I would highly recommend these to anyone traveling and looking for a nice, clean, and extremely accommodating hotel. We had the best experience.

We found out that Hampon Inn's are the bomb!

We just had to stop in Albuquerque, New Mexico when we heard they had Walter White’s grave there.  Apparently there was a full funeral ceremony when the grave was first placed, haha.

RIP Walter White.

So who would have known that we’d be running into the worst snow storm I’ve ever driven though just a few minutes after taking these two photos.

A beautiful sunrise entering Arizona.

And then we hit it! It was about an hour outside of Flagstaff.  Holy shite, I just love doing 20 mph for four hours, haha.  But we made it! If you’re ever in the car for 36+ hours like us and looking for something to pass the time, check out the Podcast “Serial.” I was completely new to podcasts, but OMG, this was totally addicting. We were sucked in, and just couldn’t wait to find out what was going to happened next! Even if you’re not taking a road trip, check it out anyway!

Arizona, what?!!

Arizona, what?!!

And just a couple hours later, we made it to beautiful and sunny home! Stay tuned for all of the exciting fun to follow! 🙂

And then a beautiful blue sky outside my new home.
