Sephora Birthday Treats
I am so thankful that I now live only 10 minutes from a Sephora. I used to have to drive an hour to get to one, or order online. I’m not sure if this is a good or bad thing now, haha but I love it! I received an email this month to come and pick up a Birthday gift from Sephora, and ended up treating myself to a couple other fun things!
The birthday gift that Sephora gave was a two-pack of the NARS lip pencils, one matte and one satin. It came with the velvet matte lip pencil in the color Cruella, which is a beautiful deep red. The satin lip pencil is in the color Rikugien. I had no idea what this word meant so I had to look it up, and it’s a beautiful garden in Japan. How fitting a name because this color is a gorgeous rosy pink. These guys are so smooth, go on so easily, and don’t dry out my lips one bit. Thanks for the awesome gift, Sephora!
Although my skin has greatly improved over the past week, I always love to have a good concealer on hand. I’ve used a COVER|FX concealer in the past so I know how great these products can conceal blemishes and discolorations so I decided to pick up the cream concealer in the shade G-Medium (the G is their golden tones). Of course it works great. It’s very thick so I only need a tiny bit, but it goes on super smooth and creamy. This will last forever I’m sure!
I picked up the Laura Mercier Translucent Setting Powder! I love love love a good powder, and this stuff is wonderful for setting highlighted areas. I usually use a pressed powder, but have been wanting to find a loose powder that I love, and this is it! Ahhhh, it is so smooth and silky, and reflects the light to give a bright flawless finish. LOVE this stuff!
And finally, I picked up a new perfume. This was a crazy day for me, because I’m a total weirdo about perfume. In my entire life, I’ve only consistently used two perfumes. I used one all through high school (back in the Curve days!) and have used my Jessica Simpson Fancy all through college until now. I don’t know if I can give my Fancy up quite yet, but I’ve found another that I love almost equally! It’s the Marc Jacobs Daisy Dream. This stuff smells so freaking good! It’s light and fresh, but sweet at the same time. It reminds me a little bit of the Philosophy scent Falling in Love, just not as sweet. I don’t know if it lasts as long as my previous love, but we’ll see how it goes. I am definitely obsessed with this scent right now though! And it comes in the most adorable little bottle covered in daisies!
Here is a list of all of the fabulous products I got, and you can click the link for more info on them:
I am so happy with my new birthday goodies! I actually ended up receiving some Sephora gift cards for my birthday too so I can’t wait to see what I find next!
Have a beautiful day!
