APRIL Favs! And Randomness.

I promise I’m not naked in this photo.

Woo! Time for another favorites post! I’m not so excited about how fast time goes because it feels like I just made my last one, but I’m excited to share a bunch of products that I love with you all!  A couple favorites are products I mentioned in my post about some new things I picked up from Sephora when I went in to get my free birthday gift, and some are products I’ve been loving that I haven’t mentioned at all yet.

And since my amazing family sent me some Sephora gift cards for my birthday, I’m super excited to pick up some new fun things to share for next month.

So I talked about the Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder, COVER|FX Concealer,  NARS matte lip pencil in Cruella, and the Marc Jacobs Daisy Dream Perfume in my recent post Sephora Birthday Treats where you can find out more about why I love them!

And then some other products that I’ve been absolutely loving are two MAC Lip Liners.  For the past couple months, I’ve been obsessed with the color Soar and Oak.  In the photo above, I’m wearing Soar all over my lips and it’s just a beautiful rosy kind of pink.  And I love Oak for creating a nude lip.  I am quite in love with lining my lips with Oak, then applying my Gerard Cosmetics lipstick in Buttercup.

Another lip product that I’ve actually had for a long time, but have recently been loving more than ever is my Bare Minerals Marvelous Moxie Lipgloss in Rebel.  It’s a sheer pink that I can’t stop wearing over top of my Oak liner and Buttercup lipstick.  And what I really love about this gloss is how it creates a cool tingling sensation when you apply it. How fun!

And finally, the Batiste Dry Shampoo. I can’t believe I didn’t know about this product earlier. I’ve always loved dry shampoos, and why I had never tried this one is blowing my mind.  I am lucky enough that my best friend recommended this product to me.  She told me how she just can’t live without it so I think I went out and bought it that same day, ha ha.   And it’s wonderful! It’s such a life saver for me when I just want to get an extra day out of my hair.  It comes in so many different types too.  I got the original, but there are ones for different hair colors, and different scents.  And the packaging is super retro and fun!

WARNING: This post is about to get really random.

But I love to share great thing when I find them.  Yesterday, I was really craving a hard boiled egg, and for some reason I just never really know how to cook them.  I worry about over cooking them and who wants an over cooked hard boiled egg.  Gross.  So I googled it and found Martha Stewart’s recipe for the perfect hard boiled egg which if you happen to be looking for such a thing, you can click HERE, ha ha.  But seriously, this took all of my worries away.  I will never be hesitant to cook hard boiled eggs again.  I was so excited about this that I had to share it with strangers at our kickball game last night.  But what can I say, I get really excited about stuff!

And finally change of subject yet again!

I love to read a quote or two out of this book that my sister gave me for Christmas every now and then.  It has so many different types of quotes, but no matter which I choose to read, they always help to remind me of what’s important in life.  I often get caught up in the big picture and become impatient trying to reach a large goal, but I have been trying to be better at just being in the moment and appreciating all of the wonderful things I have in my life.  This little piece from this book just reminded me again, so I figured I’d share it.

No matter how far you travel or how long the trip–across the city, across the country, across the world or through your life–the journey matters more than the destination.  Enjoy the journey.

Have the best day! ❤
